I just bought an african aro recently and was wondering what they eat? I know aros are ussually Carnivores but Ive seen my African eating some plants for some reason and was wondering is it a herbivore ,carnivore or omnivore?

oh my days.... DO RESEARCH FIRST IN FUTURE PLEASE!!!! You just successfully brought a filter feeder.... Bloodworms are the normal food source for Africans in an aquarium. how big is he? if he is below 8" then good luck! u'll need to feed it prob two times a day with one to two big cubes of blood worm.... and for god sac this is one fish you dont remove the left overs... he will eat what evers left during the cause of the day....

they are easy to feed. mine all eat sinking hiakri foods and scraps of frozen food. they also sift the gravel all day looking for left overs.

i have never tried blood worms but sounds good as well....great fish :)
