what do clown knifes eat

hi i just got a clown knife today and i was wondering what they eat? i have freeze dried meal worms, are they any good

Yea, pretty much anything. I feed all my fishes (including my old clown knife) live black worms, shrimp, squid, and chicken heart (with occasional feeder fish).

They eat pretty much anything that will fit in thier mouths.

I feed mine pellets, frozen krill, Formula One frozen cubes, shrimp, fancy guppies, platies and convict cichlids.

I gave them a bunch of neon tetras once too.

How big is it? mine started out at 2.5" and ate frozen bloodworms and beef heart, now at 9" they eat earth worms, occasional rosy reds, and even until now they love frozen bloodworms, well i should say thawed bloodworms.

As with all the other guys have said, they'll eat anything.

Live foods : guppies , rosey red minnows, ghost shrimp, earthworms
frozen: bloodworms, mysis shrimp,brine shrimp , krill, squid and frozen silversides
some will take pellets, lean meaty foods such as beefheart are good too
but you need to balance their diet for nutrition so vary the diet, not just one
thing.and skipping a meal will not hurt them remember in the wild food is not
always available

My clown knife was fed with bloodworms, guppies, mollies, small frogs. They're not too fussy eaters.

I love it when they breach the water surface as they swoop upwards to swallow an unsuspecting fish. *GULP SPLASH!*
