What do do with a 30g?

State of chaos
So my former plans basically fell through, and I'm left with a 30g tank stocked with a single 2" L-104 Pleco. I am almost considering a Rift Lake Cichlid tank, although being a relatively small tank, it would lack the effect of the fish darting in and out of the rockwork. I would prefer this not to be a 1-or-2 fish tank, and it would have to be something that can live with said Pleco. I'm kinda getting into oddball stuff, but if no oddballs are available, I'm not gonna stay with a 36" tank with 2" of fish that I never see...lol
So...any ideas?
 
maybe a bgk centerpiece tank. of course you should upgrade down the rode but ive done it before and liked it.

ive have a 30 gal with a monster storm of convicts....
im about to give them to a LFS so im wondering what to do as well
il proly use as a grow out tank for my flowerhorn/s or my jag.
 
I have similar tank, and I have some raphael cat fish recently, they can grow up to 12" but mine are no where near that number, very slow grower. But if you prefer a more active one why not try exodons, pictus catfish, or some loaches species.
I am actually looking forward to see variety of people's small monster tanks.
 
Exodon swarm?
Convict? (I know there common but mine has so much personality)
African Butterfly Fish?
 
ive got a green spot puffer in my 30g... what a dull tank..... cute fish but i cant put anything with him..

Hmm...15 Exodons...there's a thought...not really oddball, but still. Definately an idea.
