I fish for them on the Mississippi a couple days of the year off my grandfathers dock, I caught about a 5-6 pounder on a piece of a dead bluegill.. The bluegill had swallowed my brothers hook and died and well it was already dead so i cut it into a bite sized chunk and put it on my hook.
We also used a piece of pork chop and that work
lol.
And this is how i caught them. I got a small metal leader a bobber and trebel hook. I put the bobber like 3-4 inches from the hook. With the bait i took the chunk and cut one slice into the center of the bait so i could just slip the line into it and the i pushed the bait onto the hook. Worked quite well.
