What Do Gar's Eat

We have a Gar in the pond really long lol. But i have never seen him eat anything. We put small feeder fish in there dont know if he eats them tho. Anybody know what they eat?

Gar are pretty much living dumpsters...they will eat almost anything.

Okay that sounds good so i can just about put anything in there then.

Mine only eat floating cichlid or aro pellets...

I think my has been eating the feeders we put in but just didnt know cuz he just stays on his side of the pond.

We had him for about month or two now. He is a nice looking.

i so very agree on that
i have seen my gars eat pellets till they puke
i have seen my growing gar polish off 20-30 mollies in just 12hrs
i have also seen my 13" gar eat an earthworm that was like 19"+
