I think an economics degree is very specialized, you have heard from 2 bankers here (Cardona and myself) and neither of our banks employ an economist. Like I POINTED out we outsource, so you could have 10,000 banks out there that need no in house economist because we pay 100 bucks a month to Bankrate. That cuts out a lot of potential jobs (about 9,999) for budding economists, you said earlier that every job you looked for needed experience, yet you did not even have a resume. In all honesty how hard could you be looking for a job with no resume.

The world is tough, need to get used to it. BTW Pacu Momn made some great points .

I just read your new post, so you have not even applied yet, but you are complining about your friend getting job offers. This is funny stuff!

How many times do I need to explain this?

My ENTIRE point of doing this thread was asking for advice as to where I need to go to look for a job. I have my resume. Nowhere did I say that I applied for a job. I merely was expressing my frustration over the fact that the jobs I was finding required more experience or higher education then I had to offer.

Reverse, wtf is so hard to understand?

Mods, just close this. I am done dealing with idiots who cannot read, nor comprehend.

Seriously reverse, reread the thread. I never once suggested I have applied. I just wanted to know about any resources people may know about, or any advice they may have for searching for a job.

Thanks for the help guys, you have all been great! [/sarcasm]

Thanks for the comments guys.

Just finished talking to my friend, who has a lower GPA then me, but has too many offers too choose from. What gives? Same school, same degree, same graduation date, LOWER GPA, yet more offers?

Well, apparently we have this thing called careers for terps, and we also have job fairs. My degree is SMOKING hot right now. I just need to go to the career fairs. I am heading to the next one with him, its in november!

How is this "complaining about my friend having more job offers"

I was stating my surprise, and joy that I found a resource to use.

Once again, mods, close this. People obviously cannot read, or simply wish to harass me for my major choice, instead of offering advice as to where to go to start this process.

Sorry I haven't done this before. Sorry I do not know what I am doing.

To the people who actually gave me advice: Thank you. I do appreciate it.
