What do I need to keep my three plecos healthy

In my 180 gallon tank I have a 6" leopard sailfin pleco. I have many pieces of driftwood and i feed him green squash(zuchinni) every other day. Is there anything else i need to feed him or add to the tank to keep him healthy. In my 56 gallon tank I have a 1.5" gold nugget pleco and 2.5" royal pleco. I have one small piece of driftwood in the tank along with a fake driwftwood ceramic ornament. I feed them green squash(zuchinni) every other day. Is there anything else I need in the tank to keep them healthy. water parameters are fine so that's no worry.

all my plecos love yams. they also get zuc, carrots, watermelon, mushrooms and red peppers. as well as pellets and algea wafers. some of my bigger plecos like prawns.

how would i prepare carrots and watermelo. just put it right in the tank?

for the carrots i just wash them off and i use a fork to keep them down. as for the watermelon i just use whatever is left after i eat it....lol

Do you just add the rine or do you put the red inside in as well?

You need more drift wood that's soft for the royal

plecos love sucking on drift wood all the time so you should add more so that they can have their own snack, also feed them wafers every now and then, and give um fruits and veggies as a treat

those sail fins grow fast huh? Mine will only eat zuchinni and cucumbers, he won't touch anything else. I've not fed him for a few days and am going to put a sweet potato in there to see if he will eat it.

mostly just the rine with a bit of the red.

Seem like you are on the right track. I added current to my tanks since and they are highly oxygenated.
