What do people use in their reactors on freshwater tanks?

Thanks. I'll probably just fill the other with matrix or something for added bio. I bought the reactors for the 75 just because I like gadgets. Lol. I have a reefkeeper elite net for it as well. I think you have the Neptune aquacontroller on your 75, so you know the desire to have gadgets you don't really need. Lol

I do love me some gadgetry! And you're right, I have the Neptune Apex controller on my 75G tank, love it! Now if only I had room to run a Nextreef reactor under my tank I would. Also thought of adding a Spectrapure Litemeter III for automatic water changes and top off.. haha. I have an obsession...

Be careful when running carbon in suspension, granulated carbon has been attributed to HLLE. The microscopic particles bombard the lateral line and eventually cause erosion. Although more prevalent in marine species i don't see why it wouldnt affect fw.

The carbon thing is a big problem with low grade carbon in reef/sw tanks.
