I know that, but can it go for three months bofore needing to change filters?
A guy told me that he changes his 2260 every 5 months!!!

A guy told me that he has a pacu in a 10 gallon and that the pacu will never outgrow it.

Point here being that just because someone does it, it is not necessarily ideal. I agree with the wet/dry, don't go with a canister.

why not DIY? Way cheaper and you could build it how ever you want.

arrows do well for a while in a 240 he will need something larger eventualy prolonging care is always harmful and potentialy fatal especialy with arrows i would suggest throwing a sponge or two in with a huge sump and refuge to get the nitrates out and the sponge will produce a nice amount of bio bacteria to help break down all of what is going on but there is no getting around harmful deposits three months is way 2 long

So three months with out changing filter foam is to long?
I'm going to have somebody do my 25% water changes and feed them
Is there just a foam in the drip tray drawer?
For Pro Clear sumps!!!!

there is no filter that will go 3 months without some basic care. if someones going to be doing the WC's, then im shure they could also swap out some filter floss in a W/D for you. i gotta say though perhaps you should sell your fish for the well being of the fish, unless its caretaker is an experienced hobbiest its not really fair to them or the fish, as you know taking care of a large aro is no minor task. think whats best for the fish, not yourself.:)

I agree with you...but I cant seem to get rid of the arro...I had him FS on MFK....I can take the fish tank with to me but not a 240gal......a 180 is ok but the arro needs a bigger tank.....He's been in a 135 for about two years now!!!
