feeders are not a good idea to feed in excess, especially goldfish, since they can transmit deadly diseases, are very low in food value and high in fat, and actually prevent the proper metabolization of vitamin B1 (at least with goldfish). just though i'd throw that in there. tropical feeders such as guppies and danios, if properly fed and disease free, can make good occasional treats.

I feed the Ps I take care of from time to time various raw meats, including, chicken, pork, beef, and all manner of seafoods. they also get feeder guppies once a month. I try to feed something new daily.

How do you keep your tank from smelling like dead corpse and feed them different types of raw meat?

mine ar still small but i got them a diet of shrimp pellets with the occational freeze dried prawn. so far good growth and they havent been getting to aggresive with each other .
have you tried blood worms? They work great and provide the fish with protein.

Is it to alter their diet as much as possible. Basically any type of freshwater fish will make an excellent food for these fish. Going to the fish market and practice in different types of fish will provide your fish with a balanced diet. You can even give them a piece of whatever you are going to eat, before cooking it, and they will be happy. It is a good idea to stay away from beef and other types of meat because it will make your aquarium and living quarters smell like a mortuary. Feed them daily to prevent them becoming aggressive towards each other. Your lfs will have a whole line of freeze-dried and frozen products that will supplement your P's menu. Hope this helps
