I think the users name was "jarhead" something and I think the title of his thread was "looking for tankmates for a texas cichlid". It was sold to him a texas but it looked like a syn x texas.



Good luck getting them to pair up. I had a female carpintis court my male syn but he was not interested in her at all.

There was a thread in the SA & CA cichlid section a couple months back that showed a fish that looked like a syn/texas cross. You might try a search for it - it was a really good looking fish. Good luck!

Also there was one for sale with a pic. It was posted 12-30. I cant link it for some reason. Looked like a pearly syn.

It sounds like gutted remembers what I am talking about. The OP thought he had a regular texas. The fish looked really good - it looked like a syn with texas pearling laid over top of it. I would take it in a second.
