totally understandable hahaha ;)

Oops I missed the word harder and thought we
were picking what one we like better.

Well I think it all depends on what fish you keep or what other animals you have. also tank size , stock level, tank mates, and type of fish. If you keep corals or live plants. It all depends.

I'm going with salt. I've never kept an excel spreadsheet for freshwater but with testing calc,mg, dkh, phos, lighting par, sg and all the things you would test in fw, I now have a spreadsheet for all my readings.

I like my fresh water fish... My bestfriend has a salt water tank... Now don't get me wrong I think they are really nice. Just the cost on some of those fish. I also don't think I could tank care of a salt water tank. Maybe I'm afraid to try. I wouldn't mind just a weeeeee little one. You know those little 5 gallon ones. That would be cool. I enjoy both.

I don't fell saltwater is harder, just maybe a little more work. But even then, if you're willing you can make it less work with certain sacrifices, mainly paychecks. But anyways, I also feel salt to be a little less forgiving in most cases.

So I guess in that regard I would say it's harder but I still agree that this isn't the greatest thread. No offense.

Honestly, SW just doesn't appeal to me very much. I might consider a FOWLR tank, or maybe some SW monsters, but I just don't like the look of most SW tanks. I'd rather have a nice planted tank than any reef in existence. Just IMO, anything Takashi Amano has done is better than any SW tank I've ever seen.

more expensive =/= harder to keep

It seems that alot of people are intimidated by saltwater tanks and think they are going to explode if you look at them wrong. I took the plunge to salt and im very happy i did. Its honestly not alot of work if you do some research and go into it prepared. I wouldnt consider it anymore difficult than fresh, especially if youre talking about a fish only tank or a FOWLR setup.
