what do with old and battered acrylic tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Is there anyway to fix the leak? I'm in a similar situation. I bought a 300 acrylic dirt cheap and they told me, that they were told that it has a leak. Working on building a fish room in my basement so I haven't tried filling it yet.

i would, but it looks like someone tried to fix it previously and i dont wana keep adding strips of acrylic to the inside.

OJ and diesel?

Seriously though, what about throwing a pool/pond liner into it and turning it into a pond? Building a wooden frame around the outside with a sitting bench on one side and a slight overhang to hide canister plumbing on the other side. If you have a deck you can drop the lines over the tank and run it to the canister below the deck. Add a couple fancy goldfish or baby koi (that can be rehomed/sold back to a store). Or toss some natives in there and make it a water garden.
