What do y'all use in your canisters?

Foam for mechanical filtration & biomax for biological filtration. I don't use carbon in my canister filter.

sponges on the bottom and everything from biomax, substrate pro and matrix for bio. I kind of have a mix in all my canisters. No carbon either

eheim 2260 but upgraded the pump to eheim 1262.. from bottom to top.. It might sound crazy but I think my carbon is turning my lutino oscar's fins black... so I've been looking into switching that out for some other media, been looking at these quartz balls

Bio rings, coarse sponge and floss in all 5 of my canisters

Coarse sponges > Polyester pillow stuffing > Purigen > Plastic Pot Scrubbers

I having been using -- AC 500 Sponges, Blue Pad, Matrix and Poly.. Simple but very effective.

Eheim Mech > Substrate Pro in a 2217 and 1 1/2'" course Foam in a one Tray, Cuprasorb(bag) and Matrix in the second, and another 1 1/2 Course foam in the Third in the 2236 Both have Prefilters
