I have 3 canisters. One with pot scrubbies and foam sleeve, one with ceramic rings and foam sleeve, and one with sponge and foam sleeve. Magnum 350s.

Seachem Pond Matrix in two trays, and Fluval ceramic rings in the other, with a filter pad on top. Working great so far.

My canisters are only used for mechanical filtration. I fill my overflows with bio balls and that combination seems to do the trick.
