What do you all think about Aquaclear number series filters?

I should have explained that better my bad. Whether or not you use carbon or not you can reuse the sponge for quite a long time (carbon makes no difference but it DOES need to be replaced upping the cost of maintenance) . In my case sponges last a year and some people go longer.

i love these filters. i have one Ac110 along side my two eheim pro II's on my 100. works great especially with mech. filtration. considering buying another one soon

but I have heard mostly bad reviews otherwise, both at the pet store where I bought it from and here on MFK

surpsing. the AC110 is one of the most popular filters on this board..

I have three. many of us have some that are 15 years old and still going.

my oldest is 12.

i won't waste the money buying any other brand of hob now. i'm definetly a fan of aqua clears.

I have 8, one is 13-14yrs old. best and most versital HOB IMO.

Aquaclear's are like the best HOB ever. And I remember someone saying that they would only trust filters made by fluval....Aquaclear and Fluval are from Hagen. So they are pretty much the same company. And both are amazing. I think AC's are the best "bang for your buck". I'll always be loyal to them. Many people complain that they won't prime, but sometimes you just have to wiggle the impellor. Just maintain it, and it will last forever!
