ok so i hear about you guys saying, check out my aro community, so what exactly is a community? is it just a bunch of related species? so you could have a community of ca cichlids or african catfish or something like that? just was wondering. thnx

Community can mean a lot of different things...
Merriam Webster states:

I'd say any group of fish kept in a single tank that live relatively peaceful together (or at least have a dominance understanding) is a community tank.
Technically I'de say no.. a community of fish generally is used in describing a tank of various species that co-habitate peacefully. A group of the same species of fish is a school.

I have a school of tiger barbs, they're a part of my community of: 2 sens, 8 barbs, 2 convicts, 1 jd. My fish aren't related by area of the world, type of fish or anything else. I just have them in the same tank and they coexist
