Wow, you are Adorable!!! Beauty, brains, and loves animals/fish keeping, you have a very lucky man friend!!! I can't get my wife into the fish keeping hobby.
LOL Thank you. I don't have a man friend, but once I do, yep he will be a lucky bastid. (If you are referring to my "In a relationship" status, I keep that on everything to keep them
away.) But shhh, don't blow my cover. LOL

Teehee.
If you want to get your wife interested, why not let her set up her own tank. Let her pick it out, set it up - and TRY not to "Backseat Navigate" but rather let her fool with it a bit, educate her on the basics, and when the time comes, let her stock it, decorate it, and so on.
They are all resistant at first, but it's mainly because they think they won't be able to figure it out, and they really don't see the point, not to mention that so many non-keepers automatically think we are all nerds.
But we are human, and lets face it, if given a mini eco-system solely in our control, and the residents dependent on us - not to mention the landscaping is left to our imagination - C'mon, tell me what person won't perk up at playing God. It's true, it's fascinating, rewarding, relaxing, exciting <-- Can I use those both in the same sentence? And it instills passion in people for conservation and responsible industry. It's a win-win.
Or you can just kick her out.
J/K!!!
