Just wondering if we can all give each other some tips in good health habits,we all sit on the computer and talk about a mixture of interests besides fish...but i am curious about what steps you all take to exercise and eat right...there may be alot of couch potatoes on MFK but i am sure there are also alot of us that feel a need to take care of ourselves.. I eat lowfat, low calorie diet with lots of veggies through summer to maintain myself...but as the winter approaches i do not get all the exercise i did through the summer.. so every night i blast my music and dance for about 30 mins .. changing the music all the time so it does not feel boring and routine.. but i try to concentrate on stretching and bending and arm movements.. firming up and burning some calories at the same time.. I will push the time element up as i do it ..but that will take a month or so to feel in better shape..the worst thing you can do is make yourself sore and then have to skip your exercise.. so anyway whether it entails talking about vitamins or food or supplements or even if your disabled and have to do easy exercise i want to hear it.. we all need to stay in shape so if we can help motivate each other we will be a stronger better MFK!!

Sorry Liz but.....That's kind of hot...lol I don't get much time to go to the gym anymore, so I make it a point to eat healthy. No fast food, and if we do have fast food, like say kfc for instance. I get 2 biscuits and corn on the cobb. That fills me up and it is WAY lower in fat than a half a bucket of fried chicken.lol I am a chef by trade so homemade is better than restaurants in my house....It may sound funny but I do a lot of water changes with a three gallon bucket and take the bucket to different places. Like out front...splash....kitchen sink....splash......back yard....splash.......bathtub....splash......And this truly is enough to keep me nice and tight and I stay at my target weight at all times...Good thread!

diets are for suckers

they will make you fat in the long run and it will be an endless battle with your body that you can never win.

when you starve yourselve of calories by cutting them and eating less your putting your body into survival mode, so anything you eat gets stored as fat.

too many people confuse losing fat from losing weight. muscle is key and you gotta build muscle to burn fat, but at the same time you gotta take in enough calories, fat and protein to maintain that muscle, and who doesnt love eating? :D

i use to weight 190 and it was mostly muscle, but then i got a girlfriend, lost 20 and turned into a stick  now after i dumped her ass i gained 10 back, working my way back by eating more and hiting the weights hard. i dont go as often as i use to because of school :(

How tall are you Del?

winter is hard to maintain things with not being able to run out side (i hate treadmills and elipticals) so to burn lots of calories and get a nice workout. i do this

25 full sit ups
10 push ups
25 crunches
10 push ups
25 to the left
10 push ups
25 to the right
10 push ups
20 leg lifts
10 push ups
20 scissor kicks
10 push ups
20 flutter kicks
10 push ups

this is a great ab/upper body work out. it is pretty intense at first but you get used to it quick depending on how in shape you are.

Just wondering. I never pictured you so tall:nilly: Not that 6ft is very tall, but I always thought you were a short guy...lol I don't know why...Did you play sports in high-school?

to stay in shape i eat lots of chocolate, unfortunatley my shape is round.

i am on the left.

seriously though i have not really exersized for quite a while and need to do so.
after packing in MMA and weights i have piled the pounds on, i also stopped smoking which did not help the waistline LOL.
