I highly doubt this would work. Unless you shipped the rock which the eggs were laid on, added an airstone etc.

In the case of my jacks, better to let the parents care for the fry, they are incredible parents, they make two or three nests in my tank an move the fry by mouth from one nest to the other, chewing their food and fanning it into the fry. I'm raising five of their babies in the same tank now, they are 2-3 inches, their parents no longer take care of them, and only occasionally kick them out of their nesting area. I'll post pics soon. The parents haven't bred since I decided to keep those five, don't know whether they eat the eggs, or if the parents just aren't comfortable enough to breed yet. They're something like 7 months old now. I'll move them when there is aggression problems, so far so good, the giant danios take the brunt of that

I would get a big kidy pool at walmart and grow them out over the summer and sell them some how some way that's what i do with all my red devil fry i just brought them in from the outdoor ponds and i have a add running in the green sheets cichlids for sale.
