What do you feed your Cherax Zebra??

Hey guys,

So i just added a new cray to my collection and iv noticed that its really picky food wise. My other crays love lettuce, shrimp pellets, and raw shrip but my new Cherax zebra wont eat any of it! kinda worried,

What do u find ur cherax enjoys to eat?

my desctructors go after anything that touches the tank bottom. sinking carnivore pellets frzoen/bloodworms and krill. snails flake that sinks freeze dried shrimp.. well pretty much everything that they can get to

I feed mine more of the same. Lots of veggies and meaty foods. My cray will pounce on anything that hits the bottom. The bulk of its diet so far has consisted of peas, blood worms, and shrimp pellets. So far mine has been a good eater. I have had no trouble feeding him and so far he has left all the other residents in the tank alone.

I have 20 neon tetras in there with him for the last 3 months and so far he hasn't decided to try fish ;] He's not the same species as yours though.

The Cherax destructor albidus is a smaller subspecies of Cherax destructor which further consists of Cherax destructor destructor, Cherax destructor albidus and Cherax destructor rotundus.Sinking carnivore pellets frzoen/bloodworms and krill. snails flake that sinks freeze dried shrimp.
