I'm picking up some L200 tomorrow, and from what I've been reading, they sometimes don't eat.

I feed lots of raw shrimp to my fish, and I'm planning to get some zucchini and cucumber.

What have you had success feeding L200's with? Thanks. :)

I dont own one but they are omnivores according to Planet Catfish. So I would say a good amount of veggies like good algae wafers, zuchinni, sweet potatoe, and also some meatier foods such as blood worms, krill, and brine to keep a varied diet.

bloodworms and brine aren't very meaty lol unless my definition of meaty is lacking

But I will be giving some frozen foods including bloodworms and spriulina mixed with brine.

I feed my more carnivorous plecos market shrimp and tilapia also. That meaty enough for ya?:D I'm guessing those would be a good treat for the L-200 from time to time also.

sounds meaty

I think the blood worms and brine will be great for these plecs since they are aufwuchs (sp?) feeders right?

Greens and pellets.

What kind of greens do you give your 200's? Not the THC right?

I'm guessing the ol' spirulina pellets right? Any others?

Well, I feed my 3 L200 with cucumber, potatoes and so on.

You can use any pellet with a high content of "greens".

But be carefull with the meaty foods. Their better of with fresh greens and mabye some blood worms once in a while.

Cool thank you. With all the meat eaters in my tank, their shouldn't be anything left for the plecs to eat too much of, so it will be easy making sure their bulk is potatoes and cucumber.

Are there any types of green I 'shouldn't' feed before I go crazy getting all kinds of produce from the store? lol

cucumber is good but dont leave it to long it will make your water cloudy

I used to have a bad habit of leaving it over night, so thank you, I will make sure to keep it in at a max of 2 hours or so.

Got em'!

They didn't seem interested in shrimp when I fed the other fish today, but I expected they would be shy.

I offered some spirulina pellets, but they were too busy adjusting to my tank I guess.

Can anyone sex them? I was hoping the large one with broad shaped head is male and the other two are female. I have no skill at sexing loriis.
