I got my zebra and kuhli loaches and they seem to ignore the food I got for them. I got them Aquarian sinking pellets that are for loaches. I cut them smaller so they can eat them and they are ignoring them. So what should I fee them that won't foul up the water?

Thanks, will do. I got blood worms before I read your post and they ate a few. They are so small so I have to vacuum frequently to get the old food out. I also got some NLS H2O stable wafers, read they might like those? I've seen they like cuccumber and zuchinni. Will pick some up Thursday when I got grocery shopping

If they're that tiny they're probably doing fine on detritus in the gravel. If you're worried try fresh prawn/shrimp (bust up pretty small) or lobster/crab legs (shell on, but cracked a bit). Ask fishmonger for the legs that fall off- they should give them to you. Legs are great because getting the meat from inside the shell-tube is a game for the loaches. Raw is best, but cooked is also fine.

try the frozen pre cooked salad size shrimp. mine always went nuts for those, it may just take them a few days to adjust to a new tank also because i feed mine the aquarian sinking pellets too and they usually go crazy for them! good luck

They hate the aquarian pellets won't go near them for some reason

do you take them out after a few min or let them stay in there? Mine wont touch them for a few min until they get softer and swell up a little bit. and I usually give them some tetramin tropical flakes they seem to really like the flakes also, and try algae wafers too! mine seem to eat almost anything that wont eat them come to think about it lol

How long have you had them? Loaches can take a while to settle in. Also, they tend to be most active and eat when the lights are off, especially when smaller.

I have 6 species of loaches right now and they all chow down on bloodworms.

Zebra
Mongoose
Blue Red Tailed
Burmese - My favorite, pretty dang large and always out swimming
YoYo
Dojo - Never see them though, tiny little things in a 150 gallon tank
