^ I hope thats not all you feed your puffer?

As for me, i feed mine all types of things from NLS Pellets, Scallops, Mussels, Prawns & Snails...

I feed mine with market prawns and mussels too, a bit of mixture.

It would be nice to have that kind of supply of snails on hand!

yes, those are apple snails, but its not a breeding tank. It just a tank that I use to keep them.

Oh, so those snails are just caught from the wild? then that truly would be a nice free food source...Almost as good as having marble crays...

I think people are actually breeding these snails in farms, and other than being sold as food for fish, these snails are also used for human consumptions.
Cray fish is way more expensive than these snails. I've bought a couple of those and tried to feed them to my mbu, but the mbu didnt seem to have any interest on the cray fish. Perhaps, I'll wait till my mbu grows a bit more, then I'll introduce him again with the cray fish.

shrimp, mussels, and marbled crayfish. our mbus don't seem to like clams much.

I also tried clams before, but my mbu didn't like it much. I think because the shell was to hard for him to break at his current size right now, but soon as he grows, he would be able to crush the shell, still hopefully..

Crack the shell open for him. He'll scrape his teeth on the shell to get out the meat.
