Heys guys and gals, im starting this thread just to see all the diffrent types of food (live or frozen) you guys feed your rays???

:stingray::stingray::stingray::stingray::stingray::stingray::stingray::stingray:

ill start. i usually stick to the basics whn it comes to feeding my ray. bloodworms, gost shrimp, nightcrawlers, and red roseies from time to time.

and also put what type of stingeray or rays you have, how big they are and how long you have had them. thanks guys and lets keep this thread going.:mwave:

lol rosie reds... lol not red rosies:screwy:

I have only reticulated sting rays. 5 females and 2 males. 4 of the females are just pups so they are mostly still on black worms. oldest pup has moved up to nightcrawlers. The other 3 will eat anything that is thrown into the tank, nightcrawlers and market shrimp for the most part but also firemedic's gelatine prepared food with talapia, shrimp, pellets, blackworms, and mysis shrimp. Mine are huge eaters!

Mine eats sinking cichlid gold

and the DIY food I make which contains

Tilapia
Massivore
New life spectrum
sinking cichlid gold
hikari food stick
Seachem Nourish Vitamins
seachem Garlic gaurd

He also eats a Rio Meta Orino or Rio Nanay peru Mono when ever he gets the chance

I think cichla might be his favorite food :(

I will most likely add some shrimp to my next batch of food

dang you guys make your own food??? want to share your recipies and how to make it?? anything special you have to do with it??

Large earthworms (from angling shop), all sorts of sinking pellets but mainly massivore, frozen large krill superba, mussel, sprats, whitebait, lance fish and cockle (shell off).

I see a lot of people using bloodworms and I can only think these are suitable for pups.

My rays are around the 12" mark and the pup has been eating large fish from 7"' they cope with it easily.
