What do you guys do for work?

All insurance carriers/companies share their own risk, in simple terms it’s just insurance for insurance. It wouldn’t be smart for a home insurance company to insure every home in a county in California for wild fires etc so if they feel they’ve over insured a block of business, they will sell off pieces. Why one of your loans might be through Bank A originally but 1 month later bank B now owns it.

I've plotted lots of charts for lots of purposes. Flying I often wound up in the second seat, navigating.
I didn't like navigating in-flight. Charting was a joy.

Also I have written a "historical comedy" about motorcycling, and I painted a number of skateboards.

Haven't painted on canvas for 40 years though. I tought my sister the rudiments, and she still does it.
Working in a lab by day, artist by night.

Anyhow, I have found lots of folks working in technical jobs choose art or music as a hobby.

I'm really an artist (fine art, photography) the other stuff is just to eat, lol...played the horn in junior high school.

Production Tech for a series of cryogenic air separation plants and hyrdo-chem plants. Been at it for 24yrs.

I’m a robot mechanic in the semiconductor industry. I work three 12 hour shifts one week and four 12 hour shifts the next week. So I work 7 days every two weeks. I have lots of time off to do fish stuff!!!!

I currently work as a Medical Assistant/nurse. I was supposed to be a DPT, but I got injured and now am trying to decide between MD, PA, or vet school. Really into Sports Medicine and Aquatic Animal Health, but am having trouble shadowing due to the pandemic. Any advice would be helpful. Work-life balance is very important to me, but so is my ego, unfortunately :p.

I’m in college learning to weld.
Still in college however I’ve taken up a job in a welding place however I do no welding, I simply get the metal ready for the welders to weld it. Cut this piece, stack those pieces, bend this, put that on a pallet and put it over there, etc. Check out this 100’ beam that came in on Friday, got the picture today. Bad picture but I was leaving when I took it.

My dad was a PA. Depending on the state PAs can do everything a supervising doc can except prescription of some meds.
