yea thanks for the advice a 9ft crack is no joke, any other opinions or ideas?

If it was around here i would be all over it. It says that the bottom is double layered glass. So I would strip it and put another layer in. Its not hard to do. And even if it cost you another 500 to get it 100% you still come out with a deal.

This is what I would do. The extra layer is just bracing. Replace it and you should good to go.

I wouldn't buy it... If you want a tank that size, save the money and buy one without a problem. Cheap cars = expensive repairs, that's how i feel about many things. You get what you pay for, and it would suck filling and refilling a 360 gallon tank to check for leaks. This leak is on the bottom, so it would suck if you still had a leak after patching it...

I would get it and just get a piece on 1 inch plywood and water proof it... then put it in the tank over the crack.... silicone all the edges and it should be fine!

That is a massive tank. You better be ready to invest some money just to get it moved. That thing will weigh well over 1000lbs. It will take your life savings to get and keep it running. JUMP ON THAT THING MAN!!!

I'd love to have a tank like that, but I have to say that I would let that one go. Probably check to see how much it would be to repair first, but I wouldnt feel to confident around it.

I saw a free tank on CL that had a crack in the bottom too. I tried to get it, but someone else did. It wasn't near that big, but my idea was to get a piece of plexi or acrylic cut it the same size as the bottom. Lay it in the bottom on top of the existing bottom glass. Then seal around it.
