He looks good I'd say average-high grade thai silk/titanium. They all have good genes and all of them have the potential to look that nice if given the right conditions IMO. For that fish I'd expect to pay $80-130 usd given the size of it. If you would have went with some smaller 1-2" ones from RainnyBetta they'd have only been $20. If you trans shipped them through Julie @ www.flowerhornsfrombeyond.com she has them for $15 right now.

you don't even have to be an expert to know that is a nice fish. But even so, has a good short face, good finage and trailors, good color, and good kok, for me looks good already proportionate, but I'm sure people like bigger, and looks it can get bigger head, good pick up
he looks to be in immaculate condition, his colouring is gorgeous! I know you only asked for experts, and I'm sure you obviously already knew that : ) but just thought I'd be captain obvious. Good luck with him : )
Am no expert, but am owned by 8 Fh's. Yours has very nice correct mouth, very nice fin structure, and looks like he has some great large kok potential. Keep us posted with updates.
I paid 124 including payment for the transhipper. the fish itself was 99. A steal compared to most of the prices I see around here.

I personally like growing out fry, because you never really get two that are the same, plus you could get that MP.

yeah, but I just dont have the space to grow fry. I think this guy could be an MP in time
