those are bloodworms, nothing to concern about. I saw this ray my self in my friend's house, and I'm still anxious about its id till now. Between what is the standard characteristic of a pure BD and leo, hopefully some people will help explaining the two eversince both are the same P13 species..

What did your friend claim it was? Or was it purchased as BD?

Looks like a bd I've seen one Like this. Pure bd. I'd buy it. If ur looking for pure bd u might as well get one that's right outta the Sao fleix river 100% Wc. Even then u Dono if down the gene tree their was a natural cross breed

yup, he said he bought the fish as BD, as I remembered, he was saying importing the fish from German sometimes a year ago.

yup, but still hard to tell eversince most of top quality BD that have been posted in this forum does not even look close like that. Regarding the collection point of BD ray, is really hard to tell, because most of the species have been transported from one area to another, unless we have a good connections with the vendor from where the fish is purchased.

just to add up, here is a pic I received from the owner of the same ray when it was younger, around 1.5 years ago..

That's not a pure bd it's prob a henlei bd the 1st pic that is

If you have to ask if a ray is pure bd or hybrid you are not ready to pay bd money for a ray you need to do more research
I know you will prob say this if research but there is so much info put there now you can find out more in 1 hour than by starting a new thread
