My ph I'm noticing is fluctuating.. Cant be good for the fish. I want to maintain a 7.0-7.2 When I change the water it gets to about there but once I feed and the water sits a day or two it drops to anywhere from 6.0-6.5 I never checked ph until recently cause I never have had any problems. I have kent superbuffer for marine but it says nothing about FW and is rated to bring ph to 8.0+ so scared to use it. Crushed coral? Any imput will help thanx guys

Crushed coral or shells in the sump. Add it little by little day by day and check your ph when you reach the desired ph level stop adding. I have 1/2-3/4 of a bag of shells sitting around if you want it.

Yep, I'd go with crushed coral if I even had water soft enough to need buffering lol

Crushed coral.

Put in a heavy dose of crushed coral in a mesh bag.

Does the trick for me.

driftwood in some tanks.. crushed coral in others..
