What do you keep your dats with?????

My 8" ST shares his tank with a big ornate, 5 CL's a couple of surinamensis, sevrum, silver aro, synotontis, and a raphael cat. I've got 3 smaller ones 1.5-2.5" that are with two smaller ornates, growing out to go in the big tank with the other dat and bichir. I'm going to add some smaller CL's to that tank too, and maybe another ST as the big one is constantly picking on the medium one.

I'd keep an eye on those small dats, as those Ornates will outgrow them and they could become food.

Yup, the bigger fish will be in a 180g or 220g by xmas, then the two smaller ornates will move into the 80g, and the dats can stay in the 40g with the loaches.

i keep mine with other dats,polys and arowana at the moment.
i have kept them with rays,gars,uaru both amps and fernandies,geos and various catfish including tigrinus,juruense and apurensis.

I keep mine with siamese bumblebee catfish, walking catfish, san juan corys, sterbai corys, butterfly plecos, xingu royal plecos, leopard cactus plecos, archers, nandus, silver arowanas, clown loaches, striped raphaels, kuhlii loaches, leopard ctenopomas, lapradei, ornate, delhezi, palmas buettikoferi, senegal, baramundi, climbing perches, juruense cat
