I named mine Zero cause it has a black ring around the outer perimeter of the disk....... But moreso the name refers to the fact that I think the ray is something very special ( I have never seen any rays that look like him) and everyone else says "it's just a plain ol Motoro" So he's a Zero in more ways then one....
I have a drop dead gorgeous Marble female....or at least she was until she was wounded by another ray... Now basically her entire back is a big scar. Her name is Scarlette.......
My girl thinks I should call my lil female Marble Dotty. She has a spot right dead center in the middle of her forehead.
My puffer is named "Thickness" pretty self explanatory for that fat lil bastid.
My fish don't just get names usually unless I feel they earned them......
If a name doesn't come to mind just give it time...... something will happen... an event, a habit, a strange behavior...... it will earn a name.... Just give it time.

all i can sayI dont name my rays because any fish I name dies the day after I name it
