MY TANK IS ABOUT 35 GALLONS AND HERE ARE MY BICHIRS

2 8 INCH SENEGALS :character0004:
3 3 INCH BANDED BICHIRS :character0087:
4 2.5 INCH SENEGALS :eek3:

SHOULD I TRANSFER THEM TO A BIGGER TANK WHEN THE LIL ONES GROW UP?

OR WILL MY 8 INCHERS FEED ON THE LIL ONES? I FEED THE BIGGER ONES FEEDER GOLDFISHES AND THE SMALLER ONES FEEDER GUPPIES. WOULD THIS BE OK OR ARE MY LIL ONES STILL AT RISK OF BEING TURNED INTO SNACKS???

way too risky for me. but my 10in beuttikoferi wont touch a 3.5in albino senegul in the tank...

the 7 lil ones used to be in my 15 gallon tank but i decided to mix them with the 2 big ones because the 2 big ones didn't have any other tank mates and my tank looked bare so i mixed them all up.

I would transfer the big ones into a bigger tank. Keep the smaller ones in the 35 gal. This way the smaller ones would not be out competed for food by the big ones. And yes you are risking your small ones of becoming a snack.

sounds overcrowded to me....

i plan on buying a 100 gallon tank. how many bichirs could it accomodate? i have 9 now. 2 big ones and 7 small ones. i also plan on buying some ornate bichirs. how many bichirs can i keep on the 100 gallon tank?

what are the dimensions of the 100 gallon? is your banded bichir a delhezi?

its better to grow out the small one before putting them in a bigger tank, especially when there are more larger bichirs there to eat all the food quickly

With regards to food , i don't have problems with that cuz i feed the bigger 8'' ones with feeder goldfishes and the small ones with feeder guppies. the bigger ones usually feed on the goldfishes (cuz thier easier to catch) and since the smaller ones were trained to hunt the faster and smaller guppies, feeding them isn't a problem...
