what are the dimensions of the 100 gallon? is your banded bichir a delhezi?

i'm not quite sure. i guess it's about 5 feet long and 1 1/2 feet wide and 1 1/2 feet tall (i'm not sure though cuz it might be bigger)

and the banded bichir i'm not quite sure if it's a delhezi or a palm because i'm not quite familliar with other species aside from the ornate and the senegal. and my bichir is still small, about 3 '' so i don't know if their body markings will change when they grow up.

Unless you can afford to keep buying little bichirs, I would definately separate the large ones from the small ones! The 8" ones could easily down the 2.5" ones! GULP GULP!!!! I recently had a 12" endi eat a 4" Synodontis petricola, pectoral spines and all, before I could move it to another tank! One minute it was there, the next minute it was gone. Sounds like you're doing what we all do. Over stocking with fish before we buy another tank. Good Luck!:)

would a ton of feeds fix the problem? my senegals are quite benign... they eat the goldfishes but they seem to leave the guppies alone. the guppies are the lil ones dinner btw... sometimes i think i see the large ones rub it's body with the small ones & they even seem to nudge the small ones. is this a good sign or are they sizing up their meals

Large bichir: food!!! big food!!!
small bichir: that's one big body but one small cock...

 are you high or somthing??? perv

man get at least a 175g tank: 6-7'long, 2-3'high,3-4'wide and you would be able to handle all those bichirs because everyone you have gets to about 12-14" and the ornates get up to 24-27" so you need all the room you can get and width is better then hight in my opion.

DEFINITLY GET THE SMALL ONES AWAY FROM THE TWO BIG DADDIES, because if they don't grow up togheter then usually somebody will be a snack one night while you were sleeping!!!:WHOA:

lol leave the little ones in there they will be a great additive to the diet of the two larger fish..... a basic way to look at it is if it fits in the fishes mouth.. it will try to eat it or kill it or just put it in its mouth. on the other hand if the two larger ones are leaving the little ones alone then you can chance it my enlichiri has a few feeder fish (5 or 6) that he does not want to eat and he keeps them around as friends, even after they died he will not eat them it is weird.
