As far as that fish goes, it still have another good 2-3 more inches before it really slows down progressing if anything else. My first question is, how old is this fish? That would throw out a more better broad of spectrum between this fish and its growth potential. And as again, solitary is needed.

When I got him he was about
2.5 inches. I think that was 5 months ago.
He gets very well fed on the weekends.
But my gf feeds him 4 days that I'm not home.
I'm thinking about digging out some auto feeder's, If I can find them.

As they told you, keeping it solo and feeding him quality food he may show a substancial improvement, I like him tho.
