Thats very mature and sensible of you. Putting your fishes need beofre your own. If only there were more fish keepers like you out there.

:iagree: but in my response to the name of this thread, i dont think its fair at all that you have to sell your favorite fish.:(

shoot for 50$.. sucks but better then nothin.. i hate the LFS fish trade.. never get a good deal unless ur the LFS>..

Yup, they said they'd take it as a donation. It's def. not fair he's gotta go, if it were up to me I'd get a bigger tank now or reason with him to not grow for 6 mths until I can get one. I was also offered 20$ from another place, might take that, at least I'll know where he's going.

maybe you can work something out with an lfs, pay them $25 dollars and theyll hold it for 6 months. might work. my LFS offered to hold some fish for me when i move for free, but it will only be a week or 2. so, you might be able to work it out where they keep it in one of there larger tanks and can show buyers how wonderful they get, and can get it back when you get a bigger tank :)

the gears are turning.... that's awesome. THanks again!

do it buddy, ask them for a good apartment for him then ask what the rent is. :grinno:

Hopefully the lfs can hold it for you, but if you you need to sell it, I'd say $50

I paid $50 for mine when he was around 15inches then two weeks later I seen 2 about the same size for around $30. Just depends where you go. Hope you can keep him though.
