If you want a pair then I would say get a pair of parachromis any species minus Dovii (or get a pair of Cuban Cichlid).
Oscar will out grow that tank. If you aim for colorful community cichlid tank then you might look into African Peacock Cichlid (you can get all males in your tank and don't worry much about they gonna kill each other off (they will fight but not intensive fight to death like SA/CA)
