Very common here in Western U.S. (prob on East too, idk) which unfortunately leads to being unappreciated. They are beautiful fish with personalities to match.
 
Thanks guys. Posted pics of theae guys on a South African forum and I did not get one comment. Yet the guys with guppies get 100's of comments. Great response on this sight and @top dog knows what I mean.

His now in a 150 gal with a male flowerhorn divided. Flowerhorn fry and dovii juveniles got abit big and required the 6foot high with the sump. But anyway he seems very happy. The two males love to hate each other through the divider.
