I have a nice piece with a java fern plant on it if you want it. Would give me a good excuse to stop by for a visit![]()

You need to come by to show me how to setup a planted tank. I thought you like ancient Chinese decor bro. Will a 40g look good planted?Cohazard;4830769; said:Nice Joe! I see you still got the bridge lol ditch it and go with a nice piece of malay driftwood.

It's a new tank and we all know not to put fish in the tank until the filters cycled the water for a few hours.gangster;4831113; said:NIce....but how come I dont see any fish in it?

Is my Emp400 good for a plant setup or should I use the Eheim2028?Cohazard;4832066; said:it's easy and yeah pretty much any sized tank will look good planted.
we could setup like my 30g or the 60g, low-light, no co2, no supplements.
there's a really nice LFS in Monterey Park that specializes in plants. We'll have to hit it up soon, Kris (machine) will be planting his tank soon too.

Is my aquatic life dual bulb 10k HO light 25w light enough? I just want simple hardy plants
I only bought the foam pads. It's a bit bigger than Eheim so I would cut it to size. A new double tap disconnect valve is $30 from BigAls. It's a part the break quite often and I've lived and learn.Cohazard;4832687; said:Use the eheim, btw, do you know if those sunsun filters at CK aquarium are compatible with the 2028? You used to get some parts from them right?
I just picked up two used 2028, and I need to find outlets for them.
The light you have sounds perfect! Since it's HO though, you want to add stem plants like ludwigia narrow-leaf, and maybe some wisteria to soak up nutrients so you don't get algae problems.
I've got a ton of ramshorn snails too that don't eat plants but eat algae and left over fish food. They are perfect for keeping planted tanks clean.
