I'm afraid it's impossible to tell if an Oscar is male or female from just looking at it. You have to wait until they breed or you might be able to tell if it shows it's vent (reproductive organ).

Oscars cant be sexed. Unless you catch them in the act of egg laying. So pay attention. Very nice fish.
