So heres what Ill be getting for my 215g tell me what you think

1x 10"-12" Epaulette Shark
1x 8"-10" Banded Catshark
1x 6" Miniatus Grouper
1x 8" Harlequin Tusk Wrasse
3x 5"-6" Raccoon Fasciatus Butterflyfish

I know how big the sharks will get but I have plans for a bigger tank in a year-year and a half and I think theyll be fine until that time. What I want to know is if you think the fish will get along or not? thank you:)

I think your stock list is fine they seem to be at the size safe from the grouper and the sharks. How many pounds of live rock you have? Also what is your sump compartments if you mind me asking because I'm still researching on a sump to get. The site I wanna get it won't reply to my emails:irked:

I have roughly 30lbs in the sump and another 30lbs in the actual tank, the sump has a sock which the water is pushed through, then it passes through the protein skimmer, then over live rock, then more live rock and back into the tank. the sock serves as mechanical filtration and the live rock works as the best biological, while the protein skimmer just keeps the water extra clean

ok thanks because I'm thinking about changing my fluval fx5 to a sump for maintenance reasons. I should probably order 30 more pounds of live rock...Also I'm curious my aunt actually made me think, where would the feces of the fish go? Does it break down in the sump because canisters have foams which catches most stuff I think.

A canister filter apparently makes nitrites and nitrates spike too quickly as well as putting "bio-balls" in your sump becuase the fecal matter collects in them. I use my setup because the feces get trapped in the sock and then it breaks down into smaller particles which either get sucked up into the protein skimmer, or are moved over the live rock which absorb the nitrites, nitrates, and amonia.

Idk I havnt tried it but that seems like a good idea to me!

Just make sure that you stock in an order where the least aggressive and smallest fish goes into the tank first. This way hopefully it will evade being eaten.

I dont know anything about shark compatibility, again, that would be a good question for in the shark section.

My real concern wasnt about the sharks just about the Harlequin Tusk and the Butterflyfish but I think theyll be okay
