Yea...I own one. But why would it single out the butterflyfish?

That being said...tuskers WILL steal food. Mine is a pro at it.

Because I think the rest of the fish could hold their own against him, the butterflyfish are the pansies of the stock haha

You need to get some pics of that epaulette when you get it :naughty:

haha will do :D I love their markings, I like leopard sharks better but they get twice as big and are illegal in california under 36" so these are like the legal version of a leopard shark

Haha nice. If I could have any shark, I would have a nurse...They just get way too big.

I was thinking of getting a cat banded shark for my 300 gallon tank...That hopefully ill be making into a reef tank....I've heard stories about these sharks knocking rocks over, and that they aren't reef safe at all....

Your opinion?

Well said, I think it should be fine. Mine isnt aggressive at all...he just steals food.

Then again he is only a hair over 2" right now. :D

Ive heard the same thats why I kept the live rock in my tank to a minimum, I only have 30lbs in the tank and 30lbs in the sump, just enough to give my miniatus a little bti of hiding to make him feel safe. Id try to use a little live rock as possible if I were you or really stack it good. Your tanks pretty big so I think itll have enough room without having to knock too much over tho

Make secure rock formations.

Drill your rock and use acrylic rods or zip ties to secure everything.

With your softies you should be fine...they are tough. You might have some h2o quality issues if rocks got knocked over and some corals scraped or crushed to death, but these guys can take a lot.

Good chemical filtration and protein skimming can also help prevent h2o issues from soft coral stress.
