What do you think the best native fish

ha wish i coul find such a variety of fish over here ! my fave native fish has to be the good old european pike ! now thats a mean fish lol

actually it would be pumpkinseed. You probably cant keep a native catfish in a 20 or 30 either, maybe possibly in a 30 but it would be a tight fit. not a whole lotta choice for you there except little ones that dont do much. blacknose dace are pretty cool if you can find em.

There are some nice small natives like stonecats and madtoms. Others like bullheads, channels, and flatheads are obviously out.

A rock bass would be a really cool specimen fish

ha ha nope ! lots of fish but only around 20 species common round here and all of them are so alike ! pluss we have about 4 true predetory fish ! *yawn* better start thinking about moving abroad !

I love keeping Darters and smaller cyprinids. A native community tank is great. Just make sure it's legal to collect them in your area.

my favorite would no doubt be yellow perch. probably the most colorful native around me and the coolest IMO
