I have an idea but want to hear from others to confirm or deny my suspicions. Sorry for the photo quality, small fish in a big tank. I've got it on 3 out of 13 fish (one godmani and two snook). I noticed it immediately on the godmani and one snook after putting them into the tank out of the bag they were shipped in. It's a "new" tank (seeded from an existing setup I have) and the only fish in the tank are from this shipment.

On the godmani's dorsal and caudal fin, and a spot on the left side.

Visible on all three places; and on the rear of the snook dorsal in the background.

Visible on godmani dorsal and anal fin and snook dorsal fin and caudal peduncle.

Could just be bacterial infection from being shipped and put in a new tank, different water params, etc. Could also be lymph which I assume is what you are thinking. I would just treat with salt and water changes. If it goes away and continues to come back after any stress or fighting you will have your answer.

Oh god. I hope it's not lymphocystis. But thats the first thing that crossed my mind when looking at those pics.

I thought viruses can't be cured, at least not yet. We can't even cure a common cold in humans so I doubt he has any "technique". Lymphocystis is a self-limiting virus that will go into remission on its own after a period of time, that doesn't mean its cured, just that the host will stop exhibiting symptoms. That host is still contagious and will infect any closely related species it comes into contact with.

I concur with JD. And as Cacichlids stated, there is no "cure" for viral diseases such lymphocystis.
