if there's no algae problem no need to introduce an algae eater.
If you have the tank heavily planted then you could add some small fast moving fish, just keep in mind that all those fish will most likely ended up being snacks but if you want to do it, try some zebra danios, giant danios, neon tetras, etc. keep them in large shoals so it'll be hard for the spilo to single one out.
it would probably work better in a wider tank like at least a 75g since you have more area to add plants (fake or real) for those little fish to hide. and make sure you add those fish earlier before you add the spilo.
again, be prepared to have those "snacks" disappearing on you one by one.
