I love it, maybe an aba aba knife or a puffer would be cool. Also a herd of cories tetras and rams for some smaller peacful fish.

if you're going to go through all the trouble of such a beautiful aquascaping, I'd say no on severum, pleco (can get nasty with plants sometimes) and I believe puffer can be destructive but I could be wrong and confusing that with my brain remembering no plants because they need to eventually go brackish-salt besides the pea puffer. aba aba knife aren't exactly colorful but a good compromise could be getting your oddball centerpiece and getting some colorful schooling/dither fish.

Lauren thank you for kind words. It really wasn't that much of a trouble and I hope it will stay that way. Most of the plants are low to medium light, im planing on just ocasional ferts, nothing to complicated.

Those are nice, unfortunately they are really skittish. I did get one as a extra with order from Dustin before and I've seen it once or twice over a year in 29 gallon. What about ospots or maybe a longears? Im just worried longears will get to big. What do you think?

they probably wouldn't be as skittish with a group.

I don't think the longears would get too big. my louisiana longears are about 3.5 years old and the biggest is about 6" so I'd think you'd be fine. with zimmerman's (where all my longears come from) current stock I'd order 4 pumpkinseeds, 3 louisiana longears, and 3 missouri longears. he sends an extra fish JIC so you'd end up with around 13 fish, which would be good for spreading the aggression out. I'd add another chunk of driftwood or two or some more tall plants to break up the sight lines a bit.

I would love a natives, i did contact Brian about the longears allready before. 13 fish thats a lot and I think I would stay with longears, 5 and 5 maybe? Could you pm me some pic of your fish?

Why not try raising a nice Electric Blue Jack Dempsey, they are great looking fish and are awesome to raise from a small size, let us know what you end up doing!
