when i was 13 i got a job working at a bindery for $8 an hour from 6:30am-5:00pm...wish i still had that job...under the table so no taxes, but now i just work for my dad at his shop...sweeping, organizing, and simple/quick jobs like oil changes or detailing cars...never had an allowance even though i do chores and give respect; i always had to work for my money
I work a shift at McD's every week 'REPRESENT!' lol, mow the lawns, and occaisionally do an extra chore for money. No allowance but my mum will buy stuff sometimes for me and my bro. So I earn about $60 nz each week, not sure how much that is in US? maybe like $40-50 US and im 16. But im generally broke, buying fish and paying off my 6ftr
Work as a lifeguard in the summer and earn about 2 g's from that and I've had that job for the past 2 years. Then when tax season rolls around I get my tax return. I really need a job for the school year though. Between bike parts, the tanks, and food during school, $2000 doesn't last long for a year.
i got between 2.00 and 2.50 a day for lunch. when i was about that age i took care of people fish tanks. you would be surpirsed how much people will pay you to do a good water change an maninence. when i was young thats how i got most of my tanks. helping people out they find an old tank give it to me.
Gotta hustle. I been in the game since I was 12 or 13. Aside from saving my allowance and things like that, I would always be buying and selling fish. If I wanted one species, I would buy 4-5 fish, keep 1-2, and sell the rest at a profit.
