what does a clown knife prefer to eat?????

hes really not interested in what ive been giving him does anybody have any idea on what they would prefer to eat ill do anything from pellets to live fish all of my fish eat pellets and live food so anything thats good for him will do....thanks mfk members!!!
 
Mine ate bloodworms tilapia and massivore without any training per say. Brought him home and he are anything

Variety is good. Pellets, Cut pieces of seafood, Worms, Live (quarantined)
 
depends on the size.. but when I brought my lil' guy home all he would eat was live blackworms and guppies.. he graduated to minnows ect and eventually ate pellets w/ the rest of my fish. I would offer him food at night right after the lights are off or add some live feeders for him then as his tank-mates I'm sure eat more then their fair share. I found most knives to be finicky at first but once settled in they will to varying degrees take just about anything offered.

Try as many meaty foods as you can until he takes something.. then worry about getting him to eat more or better foods.

I started out with my clown knife fish at a tiny 3 inches long, in the beginning he was temperamental about what i tried to feed him, after a while he learned from the other fish in my tank that sinking shrimp pellets, broken up algae pellets as well as night-crawlers were all acceptable for him to eat. I also get live minnows/goldfish for him to eat occasionally just as a treat, he is currently over 12 inches and is the boss of my 125 gallon tank. Hope this helped!

THANK YOU GUYS IT ALL HELPED....HES GETTING BETTER AND BETTER HES A LITTLE MORE ACTIVE DURING THE DAY HES COMING OUT LOOKING AROUND BUT ALWAYS GOES BACK TO THE SOPT EVERY HAVE OUR FOR ABOUT AN OUR OF HIDING EVERY HALF HE DOES THIS BUT HE IS STARTING TO ATTACK FOOD AND GET USE TO ME MY FAMILY AND HIS TANK MATE.
