What does everyone keep or what have you kept?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Current:
- Look at my signature
Past:
- Countless beetles, butterflies, moths, flies, ladybugs, wolf spiders, and other various critters as a kid
- 2 Hermit Crabs
- A shoal of self-cannabilizing guppies (the guppies just ate themselves... and the last one swimming just ate his own tail and died.
- 1 Leopard Frog (caught him,he was with me for about 3 years before he escaped out of the enclosure into the family pond -- he was heard croaking for about 3 years afterward)
- 1 Green Tree Frog
- 1 Great Plains Toad (at the time, I didn't know that herps should be mixed, so it was housed with the GTF)
- 1 Green Anole (Had this little dude back when I was 8)
- 1 House Gecko
- 1 Day Gecko
- 2 Leopard Gecko
- 1 Blue-Tongued Skink
- 3 Corn Snakes
- 1 Milk Snake
- 1 King Snake
- 3 African Drawf Frog (I will never buy another aquatic frog, they are always in crappy condition from the suppliers)
- 30 Neon Tetras (same reason as above)
Handled and Cared For (not owned by me):
- Plains and Diamondback rattlesnakes (both wild and captive)
- Copperheads
- Cottonmouth
- Gaboon Vipers
- Mambas
- Monocled Cobras
- Ball Pythons
- Children's Pythons
- Carpet Pythons
- Burmese Pythons
- Reticulated Pythons
- Red-Tailed Boas
- Anacondas (I have no idea how these guys end up in the pet trade, I hate them)
- Blood Pythons
- Garter Snakes
- Racers
- Gopher Snakes
- Rubber Boas
- Green Tree Pythons
- Amazon Tree Boas
- Emerald Tree Boas
- Igaunas (Green, Desert, Rhino)
- Bearded Dragons
- Water Dragons
- Water Monitors
- Savannah Monitors
- Tegus

I am sure there are more that went under my care, but the ones above are the ones I remember the best. Some of the above herps make me wonder why the hell people buy them, especially the hot ones, and then give them up.

Sometimes that's the best, lol. You can devote more of your time to that animal. Most of my current guys are all just display animals so they're low key but when I had two 4 foot monitors and 2 6 foot igs at the same time they drove me nuts. Mainly because the igs were free roaming. Right now my guy that gets the most attention is my lovebird milo. He's like a little person, such personality on these guys. :D

ive kept

alot of bluebelly lizards which i caught
different kinds of skinks
a kingsnake that I caught
a baby rattle snake that my uncle caught!

red ear slider
some african clawed frogs
and fire belly toads

also kept some hawaiian centipeedes and anoles

I've also had some pet bats

i think thats it

;]

I hope to get more once I move out and get a job (Im only 14 haha)

But once I do move out and everything Im probably going to get a few more boids, and probalby build an enclosure for a dumerils monitor or tegu as I have always wanted one or both if I have enough money to build two enclosures.

But im happy with my collection right now.

Everyone has awesome collections! I really like reading what everyone has!

Ya, I need a job to, or I would have double the collection I have now.
