I'm using pool filter sand in all 8 (just took 3 smaller tanks down) right now. I use it because it's cheap, fairly clean right from the bag, looks acceptable, and is easy to keep clean, as the debris tend to stay on top of it. All my fish are South and Central American, ranging from cichlids, (mostly discus) to a 2 foot silver aro.

I USE 3M COLOR QUARTZ AGGREGATE BLACK T GRADE
WELL I SHOULD SAY I WILL USE IT IT GETS HERE THIS WEEK. I HAD TO ORDER IT. HOWEVER THE RICH COLOR IS SOOOO NICE AND WAY CHEAPER THAN MOON TAHITIAN SAND

90g- pebbles from home depot, red lava rock



Where do you find Pool filter sand???? I plan on doing my 190g with sand

I get mine at a pool supply store. 100 lbs. for $15. I think that it's called Leslie's Pool Supplies.
